The great debate of our age rages on… into darkness. Is the second J.J. Abrams Trek film a great film? Is it even a good film? Is it the worst of all possible Trek films? (It isn’t.) Does it completely warp (pun accepted, if not intended) the concept of what Star Trek is? (A little bit.) Is it just a good popcorn flick with an occasionally flimsy script, and it’s ultimately good when people like things? (Probably.)
